SEM SERIES

Elfor controls electric actuators, with their rugged design combined with a total sealed electrical enclosure and oil filled worm gearbox, provide an ideal solution for both on- off and motorized valves wherever the need for total reliability under the worst operation conditions is required.

Elfor controls actuators are used in all areas of industry including chemical processing, power, gas and marine.

The SEM 10 range covers torques up to 125 Nm and thrusts up to 45 KN for direct mounting on gate valves and, in combination with Elfor controls gearboxes, torques up to 5000 Nm for use on quarter-turn valves.

Elfor controls SEM 10 electric actuator incorporates everything required to operate a valve from a three phase supply: motor, reduction gearbox, emergency declutchable handwheel, torque, and limit switch mechanism,

Ant condensation heater , mechanical position indicator and optional extras as integral reversing contactor starter, extra travel switches, potentiometric and current position transmitter

Electric Quarter-turn actuators

AFG SERIES

The AFG1 and AFG2 Series actuator is used for controlling quarter-turn valves (butterfly, ball. Plug, damper, etc.).

It consists of an electric motor and two pairs of worm/worm wheel gears, guaranteeing constant torque throughout the operating range, all housed in a hermetically sealed robust light alloy casing. The 3-phase and single phase motors are all fitted with thermal cut-out protection and class “F” insulation. The mechanical components are lubricated by a special high pressure grease. The mounting flange is in accordance with ISO 5211 and the actuator is supplied as standard for an ambient temperature of -20°C to +80°C with protection to IP67 (temporary immersion in water) in accordance with IEC 144.

The actuator is fitted as standard with:

• 0° and 90° end of travel stops externally adjustable in the range of + or -5°.
• Declutchable manual override.
• Open and closed travel limit switches.
• Torque switches at each end of travel
• Visual position indicator.
